Common questions about the Cyberpunk 2077 TCG and ripperdeck
The Cyberpunk 2077 TCG is a two-player trading card game set in Night City, created by CD Projekt Red and WeirdCo. Players build decks with Legends, Units, Gear, and Programs, then compete to collect 6 Gig Dice by attacking their rival and stealing dice.
ripperdeck (ripperdeck.gg) is a free, web-based deck builder and card database for the Cyberpunk 2077 TCG. It lets you build decks with real-time validation, browse all cards with advanced filters, and track your card collection. You can save decks to the cloud with Discord, Google, or GitHub login.
A deck consists of exactly 3 Legends plus 40 to 50 other cards in the main deck, with a maximum of 3 copies of any single card. Legends are set aside and start face-down in the Legends Area — they are not shuffled into the main deck.
The primary win condition is to start your turn with 6 or more Gig Dice in your Gig Area. You collect Gig Dice by rolling them from the Fixer Area each turn and by stealing them from your rival through direct attacks (Steals). Your rival also loses if their deck reaches 0 cards.
Legends are the leaders of your crew. Each deck has exactly 3 Legends with unique names. They start face-down in the Legends Area. Each turn, you can spend (turn sideways) any or all of your Legends for 1 Eddie each — they ready again every turn, so this is a repeatable income source. Legends can also be Called (flipped face-up) for 2 Eddies, and some can Go Solo to enter the Field as a Unit. Legends also provide RAM — the colored resource that determines which cards you can include in your deck.
Eddies (short for Eurodollars) are the currency of Night City and the main resource for playing cards. You generate Eddies by selling cards from your hand that have the Sell Tag (placing them face-down in the Eddies Area) and by spending your Legends each turn (1 Eddie per Legend, every turn — they ready again). Each Eddies card provides 1 Eddie when spent.
RAM is a colored resource provided by your Legends. Each card has a RAM cost in a specific color, and your Legends' total RAM per color sets the maximum RAM value for cards of that color in your deck. RAM is a deck-building constraint — you don't spend it during the game, but your deck must fit within your Legends' RAM budget.
Street Cred is the sum of all your Gig Dice values. Some card effects require a minimum Street Cred to activate, so higher dice rolls and more dice mean more powerful effects become available.
During the Attack Phase, you choose a ready Unit and spend it (turn sideways) to attack. You can attack a spent rival Unit (a Fight — compare power, higher wins) or attack the rival directly (a Steal — take a die from their Gig Area). The defender can use a Blocker Unit or Call a Legend in response. Units can't attack the turn they're played (summoning sickness).
There are four card types: Legends (leaders, max 3 per deck, start face-down), Units (crew members that can attack on the Field), Gear (equipment that attaches to Units for power and effects), and Programs (one-time effects that go to the Trash after resolving).
Yes, ripperdeck is completely free. You can browse cards, build decks, and use all features without paying. Cloud saving requires a free login via Discord, Google, or GitHub, but you can also use the deck builder with local storage (no account needed).
